(Remember the menu to the left has albums of photos)

(Remember for the panoramas at left, once they finish downloading, moving the cursor to the bottom right of the photo allows you to view it full size and scroll and explore.  The detail is amazing, eg. you can actually see a stop sign...)

Again a great breakfast, including eggs, bacon, sausage, breads of all kinds, vary tasty croissants, jams, cereals, yogurts, fresh berries, juices, milk and coffee.  I am sure I am missing a few things, just couldn't try it all - no - this doesn't mean I tried all the above.  On the bikes and off to Limeuil (again) as it is in the direction of our destination of Domme (atop a mountain 1.5 km high).  On the way we would ride through St. Cyprien, Rocque Gaegeac and many other beautiful towns.

Anyway, at Limeuil (the site of the skinny dipping from yesterday), we thought we were to wait for some others - not the case - anyway, we met a cyclist nearing the end of his 2 week tour from Calgary.  Nice fellow.  Once we figured we were not supposed to be waiting here, off we went to St. Cyprien for coffee.  From there we went to Berbiguieres for our picnic. As you will soon find, most picnics are very scenic as they take place atop hills which of course require gentle climbs.  Yeah!

After the picnic, we rode through very quiet country roads, up and down a few (yup gentle climbs) hills - actually, by this point they were seeming so much easier.  Stopped again in Castelnaud for an ice-cream and a coke light (they never heard of Pepsi or Dr. Pepper).

After a bit, we were off towards Cenac and then up the big big big steep (did I say big) hill to Domme.  Lisa and I made it up about 1/3 of the way, walked to about 1/2 of the way where our buddy Steve came by in the car and the bikes were quickly strapped onto the back of the car.  The rest of the climb - very gentle.

As always, once we got to our room, our luggage was in the room waiting - thanks Steve.  Great room.  Great view.  Steve noticed that I was perspiring a bit while riding (days 1 and 2) and left me a surprise in my room, a headband and wrist sweat band.  Very thoughtful indeed.  Did I mention I was a bit tired from yesterdays long ride that I was chasing Lisa most of today, she was always ahead of me.  "Aha I realized", there must be something wrong with my bike (a hybrid).  Steve checked it out and yes the rear cassette was wobbling and thus making changing gears a bit rough.  They had a spare bike (road bike), switched my pedals, seat and computer over, and I was set for tomorrow.  Again it was time to ice all knees and Achilles tendons; followed by a shower and shave (which I attempted in the shower with no mirror and came out with no spilled blood).  More than I can say for the canard that I was sure was awaiting.

Had a drink overlooking the cliff, what a view.  Dinner was fantastic.  The canard (6th one to date) was the chef's specialty.  It was yummy.  Had a garden salad "my way", and of course a coke light.  Got a chance to talk to Steve a fair bit, learn who he is, where he lives, what he is interested in - great guy.  Dessert again - wow.

Took a short walk, watched some bats snapping bugs out of the dark thin air, off to bed, day 3 of riding is to come early tomorrow.  Of course it will start with a steep downhill ride to sea level.
