After a continental breakfast, a quick check of my road bike, down the hill we went.  It was very steep and curvy so we descended with care.

Today's picnic was alongside a river in a kind of park.  Very nice, food as always great.  The terrain relatively flat except for the last 7.5 km which was a climb to our next stay over at Domaine de La Rhue, Rocamadour.  The route ended at the side of the road where there was a driveway and a 1 km walk (with bike) up a hill to the top.  This was a short cut to save us time and more climbing.  The road to the Inn forked part way up, and figuring some of my friends behind me may need directions, I created an arrow on the ground pointing the way.  No one saw it (except maybe Steve).  Good thing I took a picture of it for proof.

Cycling for me today was joyous, the road bike stretched me out more for a better riding position, it may have had a few less "climbing gears", but the riding position along with the fact it weighed a lot less made cycling easier.  No sore knees, no sore tendons - no ice needed.

As I neared the top, I stopped a few times for pictures during which Lisa, Willa, Ross and Steve caught up.  Seems the walk thru the woods pushing the bike was the hardest thing we did today.  As I hung back to take more pictures, I was last to get to the Inn.  At the Inn, there was a really nice pool, a really nice "cold" pool - don't people heat the water?  Anyway Willa and Lisa didn't know this and being extremely hot agreed and decided to jump in together in their bike attire.

I grabbed my swimsuit and attempted to go in.  Wow, the water was colder than the ice I used for icing, so after an ankle soak and a leg soak, I inched my way up to my neck, turned purple and got out.

We went down to town for  a look see and then ate at a creperie.  Canard #7 was grrreat.  And it came with frites, really good frites.  I challenged Steve's knowledge of bits and bytes and integers and real numbers and offered him a free meal if he got the answer.  He got it.  Steve, you and me, East Side Mario's some night soon man.  Here again desserts were wild.  I stayed tame and had lemon sherbet.
