WAIVER
|
|
Each
participant will be required to print and sign a waiver to
participate in the car rally. You sign at the start. It
is provided here for your information. |
WHAT YOU NEED TO
KNOW TO WIN THE RALLY.
- IT IS NOT A RACE.
THERE IS NO SPEEDING.
- Enter.
- Study this site, at the very least, the
INSTRUCTIONS.
- PRINT AND BRING WITH YOU THE
INSTRUCTIONS.
- Visit
www.spcans.ca, find out HOW YOU CAN HELP, check the WISH
LIST, and bring with you what you can. Each car will
be awarded points for each item. The more items, the
more points, the more categories your items come from, the
more points. Print the web page and check off each
item you have donated with the amount of each item you
donated. Submit items at start in a bag or box.
Point values are secret except for the following few I will
advertise now in advance:
- Actual "pet" foods - 0 points (they have a large supply of
food at present)
- Pens, Markers - 1 point each maximum 10
- Kitty Litter (non-clumping) - 25 points
- Microscope and Slides (professional quality) - 1000 points
- Be on time. Points are deducted for
lateness. Be very aware of all the rules and
procedures at the start line, follow them all.
Something as simple as crossing a
marked line while waiting
your turn to talk to organizers could cost points. As
you can expect, the start and finish are important to the
success of the event, all volunteers have many duties to
fulfill and must do them exactly the same for all
participants - so please respect them and follow their
wishes. Especially, leave them alone. There will
be much time at the end for fun, games, food, and chatting.
- IT IS NOT A RACE.
THERE IS NO SPEEDING.

- Team captains would have received the
following email 17may06 (wed) evening.
01 Weather watch now
calling for possible drizzle, oh well.
02 Please visit web
and get latest version of start times.
Version: 1800 17may06
03 You must ensure when opening the INSTRUCTION
PACKAGE that you have as a minimum:
a. 14 page instruction kit
b. 2 restart envelopes*
c. How to...
d. Possibly other stuff
* The 2 restart envelopes are numbered 1 and 2. The top
of each page in the instructions tell you which to open
if you are lost (as it depends on where you are in the
journey).
04 Should the site change and require you attention,
you will be notified via email. Therefore, you should
check your email Thursday night before bedtime.
